General Information

Intake Form

Parents/caregivers will be asked to complete intake paperwork. Intake forms will be sent to you electronically. Please provide as much information as possible about your child so that we can tailor our initial consultation to suit your child's needs. 

Initial Consultation

During the initial session, the therapist will meet you and your child, engage in rapport building and learn about your child's goals. Informal assessment will take place through play and other activities. The therapist will inform you if a formal assessment is required. 

Formal Assessment

Your therapist may need to administer one or more formal assessments in order to determine your child's therapy needs and goals. The number of assessment consultations required will vary depending on the child’s age and stage of development. A childcare, kinder or school visit may also be required as part of the assessment process. 

Reports

All children will receive an individual therapy plan to outline therapy goals and intervention plans. If formal assessments are required, a report will be provided upon completion. The time taken for the report to be completed will be billed in line with the fee schedule. 

Individual Therapy Sessions

Individual therapy sessions will be offered to children in the Geelong region and surrounds who are 1-8 years old. Regular sessions are provided at an interval that best suits your child's needs and is agreed upon with your therapist. Sessions predominantly take place in our client's everyday environments (home, childcare, kindergarten and school) as this is considered best practice. We also offer therapy sessions at our clinic in Highton or via telehealth. Please note, we currently have waitlists for individual therapy supports. 

Group Therapy Sessions

Group therapy programs will be offered to kindergarten and primary school aged children (subject to availability and group timetable aligning with your child's therapy goals). Our group therapy sessions take place at our clinic in Highton, with a ratio of one therapist to three children.
